Monroe County Correctional Facility Information
Visitation
Onsite video visitation is available at the facility’s visitation center. Visitors can register and schedule visits online using the button above or through the kiosk in the visitation room.
Each inmate is allowed one 30-minute visit per week.
Maximum of three visitors per session, including children.
Visits must be scheduled 48 hours in advance.
Visitation hours: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM (Segregation visitation: 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM).
Arrive 10 minutes early; late arrivals (over 10 minutes) will result in visit termination.
Valid photo ID required—failure to provide ID may result in a canceled visit.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Prohibited attire includes transparent clothing, halter tops, excessively tight/revealing outfits, hats, bandannas, or any clothing associated with gangs.
Personal items, including cell phones, are not allowed in the visitation area.
All visitation rules are posted in the facility.

Inmate Accounts
Funds can be added to an inmate’s account in three ways:
Kiosk in the Sheriff’s Office lobby (accepts credit/debit cards and cash: $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills).
Phone deposit: Call (866) 345-1884.
Online deposit: Visit www.inmatedeposits.com.
Do not mail personal checks or money orders—they will be returned.

Mail Restrictions:
Letters must be written in pen, pencil, or typed.
No more than 10 photos per envelope.
Prohibited items: Nudity, computer printouts, inmate-to-inmate correspondence, or unknown substances (e.g., perfume, lipstick, glitter, stickers). Any non-compliant mail will be returned to sender.

No messages will be passed to inmates.
Inmates can make calls using housing unit telephones.

Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA)
The Monroe County Correctional Facility enforces a zero-tolerance policy for sexual assault, abuse, and staff misconduct.
Inmates can report abuse or harassment verbally or in writing without fear of retaliation.
Family and friends can report concerns on behalf of an inmate by calling (740) 472-1612, option 6.
Annual PREA compliance reports are publicly available on this website.
